Preparing young people with skills for life

We're 4th Newcastle and everyone is welcome here. Every week, we help young people in Newcastle develop skills for life. Are you ready to join the adventure?

Welcome to 4th Newcastle Scout Group

We're proud to be part of the UK’s largest co-educational youth movement — giving 4 to 25-year-olds the chance to learn skills for life through fun, friendship and real adventure.

Based in the heart of Jesmond and supported by Jesmond Parish Church, 4th Newcastle runs Beavers, Cubs and Scouts, welcoming young people of all backgrounds and beliefs. We’re part of the Newcastle District, working alongside other groups across the city.

At 4th Newcastle, no two weeks look the same. From climbing and camping to community action and creative projects, our programmes are shaped by young people — and delivered with passion by an amazing team of volunteers. We focus on developing confidence, resilience and skills that last a lifetime.

Whether it’s tying their first knot or taking the lead on a hike, we help young people step up, speak out and shine.
